Football Expert Chris Sutton Battles Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by Sunderland before the global break, however will the English top division leaders recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is available on Friday.

Football and Family Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer team," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their offense is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be fairly close, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

It smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their previous couple games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

West Ham's only away victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their streak under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.

My son advised me to get Bees forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much success on the travel this term, and Brighton are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to attack on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have got lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to support the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the only team they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor streak... but they have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
