Substantial Hailstones and Broad Damage

Homeowners reported giant hailstones reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that different parts across the state had been hit with large hailstones.

Meteorological Predictions

Moist weather were forecast to persist along much of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a atmospheric system continued to draw in moisture against the shoreline.

The following day was predicted as the heaviest precipitation period, with continued storm activity predicted across different parts of both areas.

Health Warning

Health officials warned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
